Individual airlines are grouped into airline alliances for better connectivity, airline availability and target destinations. They conclude agreements for the joint transport of passengers on a single flight, which in practice means that one line may be marked with two or three airline codes even though it is operated by only one of them. This makes it possible for clients of one airline to reach destinations where this company does not fly their aircraft, but this option is provided by an alliance partner.

In addition to this advantage, airlines have created loyalty programs for their clients in the form of a mileage collection, which can then bring many benefits – free of charge upgrade from economy class to business class, more allowable baggage weight, VIP lounge access at the airport, priority check-in, and more.

The greatest benefit to passengers is the mutual recognition of the segmented sections within the loyalty programs of individual members of the Aviation Alliance. This means you do not have to be a member of the loyalty program of each airline, because you are automatically collecting miles for other members of the alliance within the Alliance.
